The role of our Neighbourhood House is to build community and by adding the Seniors Together Program to the mix we will complete the circle of community involvement for all ages at the SBNH. It is the first program specifically designed for Seniors at South Burnaby Neighbourhood House and a very culturally diverse group of women and men have joined the seniors’ planning committee. Through a partnership with the Burnaby Seniors Outreach Society, the committee members are building skills to provide leadership at the Neighbourhood House.
Seniors who may be isolated due to barriers such as language will have an opportunity to connect with others, participate in activities planned by other seniors and have access to information about what other programs and services are available in the community.
The Seniors Together Programs has activities scheduled and will welcome allseniors to enjoy friendship, food, and a variety of activities. In this program seniors will become connected, and learn about resources available to seniors in Burnaby. Let the Seniors Together Program welcome you!
Fridays from 10am-1:30pm
Wednesdays from 12-3pm
Local transportation to and from the program can be arranged.
